LOVINA BEACH is a resort area on the North West Coast of Bali comprising of several small villages of which KALIBUKUK is the most popular place to stay. It’s known for its black sand beaches and mostly famous for its early morning boat trips to see the dolphins and catch the sunrise. The snorkeling trips to the coral reefs just of Lovina Beach are also very popular.
As well as the dolphins and snorkelling there are waterfalls, The Banjar Hot Springs have warm water pools and tropical gardens. The Brahmavihara-Arama Buddhist monastery is home to a miniature replica of the huge Javanese archaeological site Borobudur. You can also visit the Bali National Park where you can do trekking in the forests and jungles or a boat trip to Menjangan Island which has some of the best coral reefs for diving and snorkeling.
Although it has become more popular with tourists it remains far quieter than the tourist hotspots of the island’s south side. Still day and night there are more than enough restaurants serving all types of cuisines from delicious Balinese delicacies, fresh seafood to your finest international favorites. There is also a good choice of bars and beach clubs serving a good selection of beers, wines and cocktails to keep you more than happy during your stay.
